With many different volunteer opportunities available each with varying time commitments,
there should be something of interest for everyone!
Ambassadors
Volunteers greet new visitors to the Center; conduct tours of the building; explain the various activities that take place at the Center each week and generally make them feel welcome. Times are flexible.
Arts & Crafts Leader
Do you have some crafty idea that you would like to share? Please consider leading a weekly or monthly craft class. Times are flexible.
Computer Instructors
Volunteers needed to offer assistance in the computer lab at the Center. Times and days are flexible. Instruction would include how to email, use of search tools, social networks, etc.
Decorating Committee
Volunteers are needed periodically to help with seasonal decorating, party set-up and clean-up after parties. Time commitment varies according the project needs.
Holiday/Birthday Helpers
Help prepare cards, gifts, and sing special birthday songs for monthly birthday celebrations.
Kitchen Assistants
Lunch is served Monday through Friday at the Center. Volunteers lend a hand in the kitchen and dining room, rolling silverware, serving the food, and cleaning up after lunch is served. Volunteer as a regular or a substitute to help with the daily nutrition program. Time commitment is based on task.
Newsletter
Once a month our group meets to collate, fold, and label the monthly newsletter for mailing. The newsletter team is always looking for a few good people.
Special Events
Volunteers are needed throughout the year to help assist with special events, such as fundraisers such as BINGO, and outreach programs. Hours and days vary and include evening and weekend hours.
Sunshine Committee
Volunteers help keep staff informed about events occurring in our member’s lives and send cards that are provided by the Center to express sympathy, get well, congratulations, etc.
